Yield: 1 serving
Time: 3 minutes

Green your caffeine with an antioxidant loaded, minty fresh fizz that’s just in time for spring sipping.

INGREDIENTS

For the mint simple syrup:
1 small handful of mint leaves
1 cup water
1/2 cup cane sugar

For each Matcha Mint Fizz:

3-4 tsp mint simple syrup
1 tsp matcha green tea powder
1 cup cold, filtered water
3/4 cup club soda or seltzer

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1

For the simple syrup: combine mint, water, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a soft boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove mint leaves. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to two weeks.

STEP 2

For each matcha mint fizz: add 1 teaspoon matcha to jar with a screw top lid, add 1 cup of water and shake vigorously (note: matcha will not dissolve in water but will suspend, some settling is normal).

STEP 3

Add ice and simple syrup to matcha. Top with 3/4 cup of seltzer. Stir combine. Sip and smile.
